Intra Oral Scanner

itero.gifAdvanced Orthodontics is one of the first orthodontic practices in Australia to integrate intra oral scanning as part of our Invisalign treatment process.

Better patient comfort. Intra oral scanning removes the need for traditional plaster impressions. Essentially, we can use the scanner to create a 3D model of your teeth without having to fill your mouth with plaster.

Quicker treatment time. Because the model is electronic, we are able to get you started with Invisalign about two weeks faster. This is because we no longer need to send off plaster models to the United States.

How does it work? The scanner is effectively an incredibly accurate camera. When you come in for your Invisalign appointment, one of our team members will spend about ten minutes taking photos of your teeth at different angles. The computer then uses an algorithm to stitch these photos together, creating a perfect 3D model of your teeth.
